Children's literature can also include poetry, so I added one of the poem's I like above. I have always had
a passion for books. I have always loved going to the library and bookstores. As a child I would dream of
having my very own library in my home with those cool rolling ladders to get the books that were just out of my reach.
I love looking for books at thriftstores and yardsales. I love the smell of books. I display my collection of
books proudly in my living room.
Since taking Oral & Written Language last semester and now reading to my two year old, my love for children's literature
has grown. My daughter has quite a collection now and she's only two.
In Oral & Written Language we were introduced to the many ways that children literature can be incorporated into
the classroom. I have also learned that children's literature does not have to be for children only, as all ages enjoy
good literature. I have come to understand that good literature is good literature no matter how old or new it is.
